Alan Toth – Manager

Alan Toth is Founder and Principal of Avatar Equities, LLC. He has been involved in raising private capital and business development for both large corporations and small businesses since 1999. Alan brings over 15 years of small business investment, management consulting, operations, and technology experience in various industries.

Alan has extensive experience in analyzing and evaluating investment opportunities from working in and on his family’s businesses, gaining insight into industries such as dry cleaning, food service, hotel management, and coin laundry facilities. He understands the importance of financial analysis and client satisfaction.

After earning his Bachelors of Business Administration with a focus in Business Computer Information Systems, Alan served as a management consultant for PriceWaterhouse Coopers. He specialized in data warehousing and process improvement for clients such as Pitney Bowes, Phoenix Investment Partners, and Merrill Lynch. After a few years, Alan opened his first Quiznos restaurant. He went on to own several other restaurants in New Jersey and was heavily involved in all daily operations, including inventory management, team building, and financial management. During this time, he was also on track as a Senior Analyst at Bank of America. His primary client was a private wealth management group, and he focused on identifying and implementing solutions to meet their current and future technology needs.

In 2010, Alan left the corporate world to return to his roots – small business investment. He purchased a 10,000 square foot coin laundry business in New York City, taking full responsibility for operations, human resources, marketing, finances, and all other business needs. A year later, he co-founded Level Up Properties, LLC and pursued his passion – real estate. Alan has successfully blended his knowledge and expertise, developing a unique niche in helping clients invest in real estate and develop small businesses. Alan has valuable experience in assessing the risks involved in commercial real estate investments from a financial and management perspective as well as from the perspective of the tenant.

Alan is also part of a small, elite group of international real estate investors who meet regularly to discuss market trends, deal analysis, deal structuring, and partner for larger projects. The group has close to 100M in assets under management and continues to add to the portfolio closing over 25M in assets in 2012 and 2013. Alan also volunteers his time as a participant and team sponsor in the annual MS Bike Ride. He also supports the Revlon Run/Walk for Women and various charities serving the poor. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and during his time at Hofstra University, he served as President of the Asian American Organization. Alan enjoys spending time with his wife and three children as well as playing golf and tennis.
